Well it usually doesn't get scary around here.
We do a pretty good job of keeping the riff raff out.

Louise, those are some very cute dogs!!! I love the weenie girl. My parents' dox is showing her age, and has peppered grey hairs throughout her face and body......

Nice to meet you CrazyBird!
We are owned by a feathered friend as well.
Our Kona is a Solomon Island Eclectus.
He is very talkative and chatters away the day. Of course the majority of it is harassing the dogs, as he knows both of their names, including variations, and yelling at them to KENNEL....RIGHT NOW...
They are used to his rattling on, so they completely ignore him.
Will have to look and post some pics later for you.
Welcome to the boards!

Alright! Another bird owner. I absolutely love Ekkies. I fostered a female for a while. Keeping her was a definite consideration, but she showed a little tooooo much love for my husband who is NOT a bird person Cheesy ) And laid an egg or two for him. So when she was adopted, we knew it was best for her, as she went to live with a man who IS a bird person. I have always wanted a male of my own, I love their candy corn beaks.

Kona sounds like a character! Grin

I'm from Cleveland, too!

Small world! Did you see the link to this place on craigslist too? That's how I found out about it......

CrazyBird,

My heavens, is that what parrots are born like?  (never seen one!) It's eyes aren't even developed yet!  Wow thats amazing, can't imagine the TLC that needs to go into caring for that little thing.

P.S. dont hold back on pictures of Peanut and the kitties!  We all love photos. Grin

I'm betting Cleveland Ohio. Seems we all found our way here from the Cleve. Oh craigslist. lol

Grin That's a baby parrotlet less than 24 hours old. They are born with their eyes closed, just like kittens and puppies. They open around 10 days old.  Kiss I absolutely loved raising the babies. Letting them go.....not quite as rewarding.

Peanut doesn't like the camera as much as the rest of the crew, but I can definitely share some kitty pics. I've got a ton of 'em. Maybe I should venture out to the rest of the forum. Seems I've not really left the introductions section yet. Embarrassed
