When my husband had to do jury duty, he was on for three days.
The parking lot is two blocks from the courthouse.
They get a half hour "lunch".
They were not allowed to smoke on the courthouse "property" which was essentially the entire block.
They were paid by the day, and when he got his check, they shorted him an entire day.

One of the jurors was actually EXCUSED because she had breast augmentation and said it made her uncomfortable,

yet the woman working a full time job that had to be home by three to pick up her 3 preschool/kindergarten aged kids had to stay.

But the worst part was, I told hubby he had to dress up for jury duty. BOY was he
pissed when he was the only one that showed up in dress pants, button up and a tie, and all the other jurors were in jeans and t-shirts.
