We were fortunate enough to have our hotel right next door to Geno's east.... so we had to get a deep dish there.
It was fabulous!
Then when I was on my own the next day I remembered the Italian beef sandwiches, so had to run over there to grab one for lunch!
Also great!

Well, I had the hotel take out menu from all the restaurants in town. And it showed that Geno's also had the Italian Beef sandwiches (which is what made me remember I had to get one), so I ran over there and had one. I had no idea where else to go. We did walk over to another Italian place with a name I recognized you talking about that was a couple blocks over... started with an M... that was the next night, but there was a line halfway around the block to get in, so we passed! I take it the Italians run the city! There were by far more Italian places listed than any other type of food! My daughter also fell in love with Potbelly sandwich company. We had lunch there once, and then on the way back she saw one in Madison, so we had to grab supper there too.
She had a great time at the show and shopping of course. I was still pretty sick, as I am getting over a nasty upper respiratory thing..
And yes, the weather was great! We were glad, as we were on foot most of the time, walking around shopping.

Near you was Mr Beef (my favorite) Al's beef, and Portillo's.

Potbelly's is a chain. I know they have them in the twin cities. not too bad.
