The disc above my last fusion has lost most of it's fluid and has caused a sever regression of my progress.  I am back to running only an errand or two, lifting very little and now the fused part twists out because the disc above it is hypermobile and pulls on it.  The catch is that the disc above that is fine then two above is herniated but not causing any symptoms at this time.  The surgeon has decided to fuse the next disc and pray the good disc doesn't get much action and holds. The alternative would be to fuse all five of the lower lumbar discs to the mid-back.
Sooooo........surgery is scheduled for May 12th.  Please pray with me that this will be a total success and the disc that is good will stay that way.
This means 6 more weeks of no driving, no riding in a car post fusion......at least it will be nice out.
Tucker has 3 sets of steps we bought to get him into my lap from the couch, computer chair and bed so he's ready to go.  My daughter will be home from college, my mom and sister-in-law will also help, so I have no worries regarding my skin or fur children.   I tell ya, my dogs literally keep me sane.  They make me get up, move around, laugh and always intently listen to all I rant and rave about...they are God's way of giving us angels on earth, I'm convinced!

I'm so sorry to hear this news Carol.  Prayers will most definitely be with you, we'll be thinking of you here.

We'll have to make sure you're set up with your camera so at least you can enjoy the good weather with the dogs, take lots of pictures and make something positive out of your recovery time!  Thanks heavens summer is on the way.  You can bask outside, and chat with us all on the dogs here, and you have my info if you want to call & spend the warm evenings chatting about the little guys, margarita in hand.  Tongue  Sounds like some good relaxation time to me.

I hope all really goes well this time.  ((hugs))

if you are simply posting or dealing with your own photos then you should have no virus issues.
Those would come in if you indiscriminately downloaded stuff from any site. Just keep your virus checkers up to date.
