NE Area Dachshund Annual Picnic

I just found out about this so I have had NO time to plan, but am seriously considering going this Saturday...anyone been to anything like this?

 The 10th NE Ohio Dachshund Picnic was held last Saturday, July 14th, 2007 at Plum Creek Park in Kent, Ohio. This is the undoubtedly the largest Dachshund Picnic in the country.

The official count of attendees is 911 humans and 526 dogs. You can easily add 10% more to this count for folks that did not register or came after registration had closed.

That's very cool!
Imagine that many dogs/owners in one place!
The biggest event I went to was that Puggadazzle a couple years ago that was a pug rescue thing.
The thing that I thought was hilarious was that everyone calls their pug "Puggy"!!
So every time you turned around, someone was yelling.. "Puggy, Puggy, Hey, Puggy, Come here Puggy!"
I suppose that is probably the only breed where you have that happen... you wouldn't go... "Doxie, doxie"... lol

We missed it!!         Just not enough time to plan and get things together for an expedition like that.  I can't wait till next year!!
