Over 1,000 purebred doxies were rescued from West virginia starting this past weekend, the doxie board I am on is abuzz, I offered to do long-term foster but I am waiting to hear on it, since I know a group of them are coming to a chapter of DRNA in Pennsylvania...  Anyone else nearby and want to help out with transport, foster or adoption?  The shelter that seized them is overwhelmed, i know some of them are being moved but I am not sure when/where officially. All i do know is someone on the boards is in direct contact with a DRNA rep which says that none of the dogs are being sent to any other rescue til Weds.

Apparently it was an advertised breeder, "Whispering Oaks"... what a horrifying ordeal!

from the board: "I BEG you, if you even "thought" about fostering for a moment, PLEASE do it. This is an emergency situation and I shutter to think of all the pups being put down that don't have a foster home."

"You can see a short video on www.awarenessday.org under the puppymill raids. It is so sad! Hopefully though it will be the beginning of a new life for these pups."

"All American Dachshund Rescue---join up, we are taking some of these poor pups--www.allamericandachschundrescue.org--we will need all the help we can get"
