My mom n dad have an 8 yr. old schnauzer mix who is their baby.  They are always petting her but Thursday when petting her noticed a hard lump on her leg.  They used benadryl thinking it was a bug bite.  Sat. morning no change so my mom took her to the vet, they wanted to do surgery first thing this morning cuz it appeared suspicious.  The vet just called her and said they sent it off for biopsy but it did not look good.   After seeing what Tater went through I doubt I can convince them to get treatment if it is indeed cancer.  They are soooo upset.

Poor Fritzee... she'll definitley be in thoughts n prayers here. Eight isnt really very old for a Schnauzer... I hope its nothing serious.  My mama too is struggling with her little girl... who is fourteen now.  (shih tzu)  I hope Fritzee pulls through and has some good years left. Keep us updated.

Biopsy results are in today.  It was cancerous but only 1st stage and hadn't penetrated the bone at all.....they are recommending no treatment except to keep a very close eye on her for any more growths.  YAY!!! Thanks to all who prayed for her.

Bone and blood were clear of cancer so they caught it very early.  I sure hope it stays away; she is their baby.  My dad is a quiet, firm, 'he man' but he is all mush when it comes to his dog.  I adore that part of him!!
