I brought home Ginger's ashes yesterday... My vet also made a clay pawprint of Ginger's paw... Today I recieved a card from one of our therapy groups, the children's literacy organization saying that a book was donated in Ginger's name with a nameplate that said 'in memory of Ginger' and I cried when I read that...

Oh how very nice of them.  It just shows what a remarkable dog that Ginger was. It will get better with Time Lizzi.  It took me 3 yrs. to bury Goldie, Muppet and Tater's ashes; I just wasn't ready.  With time I could picture them running together in heaven and having no pain and tons of green fields.....at that point I buried them together with a stone that was made for them and a dog statue.  Would you mind sending me a pm with your address please?

That's so nice to hear that you have some people who really care about Ginger! She was loved by many it seems... There is a nice active pet chat on petloss.com (wasn't sure if you knew of it) and there is a lot of people there who understand grieving for a pet. Hope you're doing okay

I am terribly sorry to hear this and almost feel guilty posting what I have to say in my upcoming post again,  our dogs never, ever live long enough - no matter the outcome.
