I was just wondering if anyone else has any issues with their dogs begging for food?  this just recently became an issue in our house, and I think its because Pooh was never really corrected for it as a baby and Zoey  has now caught on.  They will stare and make all kinds of noises to try to get food.  I never give them food while I am eating , but I have let them have any leftovers when I am done. (example, if I am eating a microwave meal, I will let them lick the bowl after.) I have stopped doing this now that its become an issue but it seems I am getting harassed for food everytime I sit down to eat.  I never heard a solid way on how to correct this.  Simba does not do it. She'll watch from afar to see if they are getting anything, but she never does it.

I would like to continue eating meals in peace and dont really want to go through shutting them in another room anytime I sit down to eat.  I find it odd because this just recently started happening a lot.  Huh?  I almost feel bad when they are carrying on and whining, but they have dog food in their bowls and Zoey especially is anything but underfed, she needs to take off about 2 pounds according to her doctor. (which is a lot for her.)

My dogs would just sit under the table and stare. If they got too close or made noise (rarely) I would tell them to 'go lay down' which meant to get away from the table and lay down out of the way somewhere.
