Alarming!   With spring breaking in, and the birds returning...I wonder how far they actually travel and if we would be having to worry about this potentially soon?

I always like to put these things in perspective, becuase the media does such an amazing job blowing things out of proportion (not to say that this isn't serious...but).  For example, influenza killed more people than SARS did the year it was hitting all the media (an amazing number more, I really can't remember the stats, but it was astounding).  Ppl were out buying as many masks as possible, yet they didn't get their flu shot.   Huh?

Think I'll worry about it when it gets a little more real and realistically serious, there's nothing I can do at this point!

My boyfriend of three years claims to have the bird flu....

he's been sick with what he claims are identical symptoms for a week and he swears up and down he has it, so he should be treated with utmost kindness and care.  (Basically waited on hand and foot.)

I tell ya, MEN!  When they get sick, the world must revolve around them! lol, i found this one quite amusing though.  They'll try anything Grin

His mother and I proceeded to ask him if hes noticed any unexplained urges to eat seeds or the urge to try to take flight.
(Of course, he didnt think our jokes were as funny as we did, said he couldnt believe we were mocking him in his time of such illness and stormed off to watch espn and nurse himself to health!)
