to build a boat.  Or even a raft.  We have had so much rain it is silly.  28 out of 31 days in January it rained.  We had the record number days of rainfall in Jan, we had the record amount of rainfall in Jan.  How about the record number of days of sun?  Right, that was last year.  Right now it is coming down in sheets, you can hear each wave hit the house as the wind pounds it around.  supposed to be the worst storm of the year, I thought we had that a few days ago!  Sheesh.  That one I was sitting doing homework and saw a HUGE bolt of lightening hit my neighbours yard....heard the actual lightening crack, and the thunder shook the house.  We don't generally get bolt lightening, usually just sheet lightening off in the distance.

Argus doesn't care about the rain, so he is perpetually wet...dripping wet.  Gambol is smart enought o dart into the dog house, so he is always dry...of course he doesn't sleep on my bed! (though he would if I let him upstairs).

The cats aren't impressed (have i told you that my indoor cats now get to go out?  The three of them got house privilages, as opposed to just my suite, and with that came the luxary of the cat door to the outside).  They love going in an out now and Rainy and Flame don't do rain.  Rainy I dont' blame, I shaved him not too long ago, Flame's coat is so thick that she would never feel the wet.  Rodeo doesn't care, he is out in the rain, will probably be out in the snow if it ever gets cold, he like Argus comes in soaking wet.  Neither one is very clever I don't think.

Well I should go, the power will go out soon, we have lost satelitte, power is never far behind.  and I have a paper to finish so I should get on that.  Also need to make sure all water buckets are full as we lose water with power.  The things that come with living in the boonies.

Hope you all are having much cheerier weather than we are!  I wouldn't care if it was below freezing, as long as it was sunny!

Now don't you usually get snow in the winter time? I always compare you to west coast (imagine it more like Oregon or Washington weather, only colder) as I lived in Oregon for a short time as a child. That does seem like an excessive amount of rain though, yikes!
Here we have had a very warm winter. They said December was warm, then when January ended... they said the average daily temp is usually 13, while this year the average daily temp was 28(F). That's a huge difference!
Our dogs don't mind either way, though Mr Kai appreciates it not being so cold. His little puggy feet don't like to touch the ground when it gets too cold.... or wet!

nope, we rarely get snow.  We have weather like northern WA...rain.  It snowed once in Nov, and nothing since.  We will probably get a little this month, but it is generally gone in a day.

no sun here either.  Haven't seen it in I don't know when-I went out and bought some tulips yesterday, just to help brighten the day.  I can sleep 24/7 in this dreariness.
