Yes, it's bittersweet for sure. On Sunday my "baby" turned 18. We took her to brunch and spent part of the day with her, but of course the most important part to her would probably be the dinner at Red Lobster with her boyfriend of 16 months.. I suspect he's taken over the most important part of her heart, as she spends more and more time with him now. But it's all part of growing up. Of course we had to finally allow her to get her tattoo too.... I held out forever. "Not till you're 18!" And I meant it! But the next day she got it. On my side is the fact that she was not at all happy with the painful part of it at all and I doubt she'll be rushing right out to get one again anytime soon! LOL

Hey, more time for you and the hubbys!!   Do what you've always wanted to do... go on a trip... fix up the house... go out to dinner...CELEBRATE... 18 good years as parents so far... soon it'll be YOUR time.  Smiley

I know thats how a couple of the moms I work with (2 with college kids) are seeing it!!!

and yes, I did treat my sister to a well-deserved "celebration breakfast" the day hers went back!  Tongue
