Crue/Aerosmith show
«

Well, we made it back from the show in one piece. Just barely... LOL
I was sick, but there was no stopping me from going, and I was going to stick it out no matter what. Though the constant smoke and pyrotechnics from Motley Crue darn near killed me off even before Aerosmith came out... sheeesh...
Sav nearly got tossed out by a big bouncer guy with Motley Crue, as he brought his good camera in. The venue had said you could bring cameras, but "no professional equipment".... it's a fine line there.. we checked it at the gate and they let him in, but when he extended the lens and it stuck out a good 6 inches the guy could spot it a mile away. LOL
But we brought other cameras so we got other shots, but not the best. Here are the ones that were acceptable.
And here's one for patty....
Motley Crue was pretty good, but Vince has definately had his best days long ago...
And Aerosmith... they ROCKED!!!! There is good reason they are still around! They put on an excellent show!

Look for the VERY LARGE black man running around the crowd, and you'll see what I was up against with the use of my camera! LOL!
he was wearing camoflauge that night....not like that didn't make him VERY visible! LOL!
I think if we were siting back about 5 rows, I would have been able to use the camera all night, but we were RIGHT on a isle row in front of us that everyone walked on. (including every drunk bumbler bumping into us)
The seats where a bit to far to the side of the staage as you can tell from the pictures, but at least I know next time for that venue...where to get tickets and were NOT to get tickets.

and THIS is what Steven Tyler had to say about the Alpine Valley concert...it aint much, but...
"Meanwhile, back on stage at Alpine Valley, yup, sure as poopy…50 degrees again. But for all the cold I feel up there the audience warms be back up. But after the Tinley Park gig I called up my friends in the NFL and found out what they use for heaters. Immediately called Steven Lemmon, our production manager, and said 'GET THEM AT ANY COST!!!!" Sometimes I feel like such a rockstar but then again, my hands still smell like the fried cheese curds that me and Casey ate from Cuvlers all the way back to Chicago. Like the girls in the front row.. it was all yummmariffic.
I've never been told I love you by so many guys... must be the bratwurst! I called my mom on the way there after we stopped at the Brat Stop, and told her it reminded me of how we used to stop when we'd drive to New Hampshire as a
kid.... we always stopped for sumtin.'"
And here is the "PUBLIC" photogallery from that show...

don't cha just love the vibe and the adrenaline rush at an aerosmith concert? it's addicting! from the set list it looks like most of the tunes were the older songs? how was the tatoo convention?

Yes, it was mostly older songs, which was ok with us... but I felt bad for the younger crowd that may not have known those songs. There's many younger Aerosmith fans that don't know any of their songs older than the late 80's/early 90's. But I have a lot of the older stuff too, as I have Pandora's Box and such.
It was a great show they put on though! I was telling Sav it was amazing how Motley Crue had to use the smoke and pyrotechnics constantly through the show to pull theirs together... but Aerosmith didn't need all that. They just came out and plain old rocked the house! Perry's solo was amazing, and it was just a great show all around!
I just wish I had felt better, as I wasn't even able to sing, dance, or even have the energy to sway to the music. I was lucky to be able to stand here and there. Sheeesh! My asthma started to bug me on Thursday and get worse Friday, with lots of coughing and wheezing, very rattly Saturday morning. The smoke from Crue made it worse. It was all I could do to make the walk up the huge hill to walk up out of the ampitheatre! Yikes! But they would have had to drag me out kicking and screaming to make me miss Aerosmith! LOL
The venue was a nightmare for parking, as it took an hour and a half to get out of the parking lot after the show. Good grief, it was rediculous!
The tattoo convention was not too bad. There were not a lot of vendors. It was mostly shops with artists doing tattoos. We did pick up a bunch of new flash (tattoo designs) for the shop, and some t-shirts for the kid, etc. The guy from the shop that went with us picked up a new tattoo machine. We had saved up in case there were some good deals at the convention, but didn't see any... so now I have Sav placing orders for all the stuff he wanted to get at the show but was waiting for. Oh well, now he gets to order exactly what he wanted anyway!

Just the two tattoo machines I was waiting to order, the rest is all neccisities for the shop!
;-)
(on a side note, my TWO machines cost less then the ONE machine my buddy bought at the show)
P.S. I think I pushed and pulled someone UP the hill after the show...a-thankyouverymuch!

Ahhh the good ole Brat stop How many times have I been there over the years.
What Steven didn't want to stay in East Troy Wi overnight!!! I wonder why. I heard he was spotted eating at the Four seasons Hotel in Chicago over the weekend. Mighty fancy for a "Rocker"
