Ok, it's not that bad.  Do we always have to put warnings on these things?

Anyway, I felt these scabby things on Tawnee's back, so we're off to the vet again and it seems to be the same thing she had in Dec '04.  One flea bite causes ALL this!  Maybe it doesn't look that bad, but it makes her itch and if left untreated, it causes major clumps of hair to fall out!

So she's on antibiotics, antihistimine and topical cream.  I guess she picked up a flea when she ran outside in the woods about 3 weeks ago.  I couldn't find a flea or even any flea dirt and neither could the vet.  And my dogs are all on Frontline.

Oh and..........the hair didn't fall out if that bare area - the vet shaved her.

My Bichon had really bad flea allergies.  That was before the days of Advantage etc.  We used the 3M products of Home and Household spray, you spray along baseboards q3months, and sprayed the dog qmonth I think.  We never had fleas with that method.  However, I think the sprays are hard to get now with the new medications, I have always prefered it though....but it is more work than sticking a dap of something on your pets'  shoulders, so I'm sure that's a reason why it either isn't made, or hard to find now.

Is your cat on any kind of flea prevention?  Or just the dogs?  I think you need to treat your house as well, find a good household spray.
