Ok, every year around the holidays they have something called Holidazzle where they have a light parade and all these festivities.
Well they started having a pug party called PugADazzle as a fundraiser for the Midwest Pug Rescue and yesterday Mr Kai and I attended!
I must say we were being quite ambitious.... there are tons of puggies in these meetup groups all over the place and I have always wanted to bring him, but they are so far away. Well this was over an hour and a half away... about 2 hours by the time we stopped by the bird fair to exchange some bad bird food we got at a warehouse sale a couple weeks ago from this vendor that I knew would be at that fair. So Mr Kai being himself was all wound up the whole way there and pooped by the time he got there. Usually he's napping most of the day! We got there and got our puggy gift bags at the door, and I did my shopping, which was fun, lots of pug stuff. There were tons of dressed up puggies there! Lots and lots of friendly puggies wanting to say hi to Mr Kai... he was not interested.. he wanted to take a nap by this time, thats for sure... so we didn't stay long. Needless to say he slept all the way home and we probably won't waste our time going to another meetup with him. The poor old guy just doesn't have it in him anymore.... he'll be 10 this spring already!
Anyway, it was fun while it lasted and here's a few pics...
Dressed up Puggies walking around

This little puggie had a string of lights on her, and little red buttons on her ears, very cute! And she sat there so nice too!

Mr Kai's coustume we brought, but never put on for the contest... it wasn't going to be held until much later in the day.

On the way home, a very sleepy Kai...

Also on the way home, we stopped at a scenic overlook for potty stops (he's not a city boy, and would not go in the city) and to watch the sunset over the frozen Mississippi.
