Now I know he's fabulous and all, but I thought I would announce what a fabulous guy he is here so you guys would know what a great thing he did yesterday and you could all give him a pat on the back too.
So I signed up to volunteer for the Midwest Pug Rescue-Mn division a few months ago, for transport, home checks, and fundraising as needed (they won't allow us to foster as we have a big dog on our property... and once upon a time in a pug rescue somewhere, a big dog ate a pug, so its not allowed

) Anyway, they hadn't called me before, but Monday night called and asked if I was up for transporting a pug mix, a puggle to be exact... as we were the closest, to Oshkosh. Well those of you over on the east side know where Oshkosh is... We are on the western border of Wisconsin, and Oshkosh is on the eastern side. Well, I wasn't sure but I said prehaps Sav could on Wednesday as that was his "day off", and he's done some mastiff transports before. Low and behold he said fine. We mapquested it and it was 4 hours each way. So yesterday he was up and out of the house shortly after 5am on his day off to pick up this poor little puggle from the Oshkosh HS some 4 hours away, and drive all the way back with it to our house so the lady could pick it up from there and bring it to a foster home in the pug rescue. Of course I had to check out of work a bit early to see the pup (it was 9 months old). It was quite an odd looker, I tell ya!
Anyway, I have to give kudos to the guy for doing his good deed for the week in making that drive on his day off. I always knew he was a good guy, but he went above and beyond the call of duty!
