This is what I get for years of undying gratitude and posting on a daily basis justto keep joe entertained so he doesn't bug you too much.....for THIS I get sarcasm, sheesh! You know, I have been personally traumatized and have post traumatic stress syndrome after the time the original ACME was going down like the sinking Titanic, messages flying and poof the board was gone......think about it here....think what it's done to my level of trust...... You're pushing it big guy....remember I'm armed with two sharp knitting needles which whirl about aimlessly as I try oh so hard to make them do what they are suppose to....add that to the valium and motrin and you're asking for it....mmmmmhmmmmm...... Undecided

What....and you don't think 6 weeks homebound is a time out???  Yep, I got the big time out, can't say I don't deserve it either...Just wondering how women in the 60's did it when they stayed home all day with the kids, only one car per family and even then it was the husband that usually drove when they went out......I gotta give them BIG credit.

fun fur?Huh?

Carol may I suggest that your first project should not be with fun fur
rather maybe a sport weight yarn using number 7 or 8 needles in a light color.....
it will be easier to see and less frustrating!!

Shoot, wish I'd have asked you first.  I had my daughter pick up some sport weight red yarn but all I have are size 10 1/2 pink or 13 purple....got a pair of tiny bamboo ones that are attatched in a circle too......which ones??

if you get a lopi or a heavyweight yarn you can use the size 10s
or get a sportweight and get a size 7 or 8

a soft lopi or chunky weight yarn can use the size 10s and those will be nice big stitches easy to see and will make a nice heavy scarf....

while I know the fun fur is probably a nice yarn it is probably more difficult to see your stitches clearly for a beginner. Oh an I dont mean the needles should be a light color, but the yarn should be a light color rather than a dark color and bamboo needles are wonderful they hold the yarn well so you don't have to worry about slipping stitches.... i love bamboo needles or I think teak is the other wood needles I have.....

bamboo needles it is....I started my sport weight yarn on my rounded bamboos today and it is ohhhh sooo much easier to see.  However, I did finish to fun fur...tore it out EIGHT times, threw it at one point, cursed it (and I NEVER swear) so yep, you're right, wouldn't try that again for a long time to come.  I am going to see if my buddy, oh pal Joe would post a pic for you to see.  You cannot imagine how elated I was last night when it was finished....I am sooo not crafty, infact if craftydisabled were a word, it would list the word 'Carol' right beside it.
